alarming and management control of the power
supply and environmental conditions in each
of the sub-stations and facilities within
the network, using censoring, remote control
and surveillance technologies.
Local Exchange Network Management and
Monitoring System
The Local Exchange Network Management
and Monitoring System enables telecommunications
service providers to perform remote and
centralized monitoring and management control
of the local exchanges within a PSTN at
various locations from a centralized location.
It performs configuration, fault, performance
and maintenance management functions to
support the proper functioning of the local
exchange network.
IIN-Acterna PSTN SS7 Signaling Monitoring
System
IIN-Acterna PSTN SS7 Signaling Monitoring
System manages and monitors SS7 signals.
SS7 is a specialized protocol by which a
telephone network set up, route and terminate
telephone calls. The system performs the
following functions:
| 1) |
real-time
monitoring and configuration management
of the SS7 signals |
| 2) |
network
fault management which includes administering
network events, alarms as well as
usage fraud detection |
